ELECTRODE FOR CELL FUSION CHAMBER

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled electrodes, equipped with a pair of electrodes having a recessed surface arranged so as to oppose the side of the recessed surface each other and electrical insulating members placed therebetween to form a space for applying electric stimulation to cells and designed not to stick cells thereto. CONSTITUTION:A pair of electrodes 14 and 16 having a recessed surface are arranged so as to oppose the side of the recessed surface each other and electrical insulating members 18 and 20 are placed between the electrodes 14 and 16 to form a space for applying electrical stimulation to cells 6 and constitute the aimed electrodes. A cell suspension 24 is contained in the space formed from the electrical insulating members 18 and 20 and a bottom plate and a high-frequency voltage is applied across the electrodes 14 and 16 to tie the cells 6 in the form of a row at the central part between the electrodes 14 and 16. Fusion of the cells is then carried out.
