AUTOMATIC SHEET THICKNESS CONTROLLER WITH FUNCTION FOR REMOVING ROLL ECCENTRICITY OF COLD ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE:To reduce an initial cost by controlling the roll gap of the ensuring sheet by the roll gap correction value determined in accordance with the sheet thickness deviation signal from an inlet side thickness gage and the load detection signal from a rolling load meter respectively. CONSTITUTION:The thickness deviation signal from the inlet side thickness gage 4 is sampled and the average value thereof is calculated by a calculator 21 for the average value of the inlet side thickness deviation. A difference between the output thereof and the thickness deviation data is outputted as a thickness deviation signal and the roll gap correction value is determined by a converter 15. The load detection signal P determined from a rolling load meter 6 is similarly processed to determine the roll gap correction value. Such roll gap correction values are outputted to a position control system to correct the roll gap of the ensuing sheet. The effective thickness control is permitted with the inexpensive equipment by the device constituted in the above-mentioned manner.
