PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a mill-roll by flattening burr and to improve the productivity by arranging one pair of burr removing means at right and left sides, composing of disks rotating around the vertical axis by pushing an edge part of cast slsb from upper and lower sides at outer side of the cast slab in the sheet continuous casting machine and making the upper side disk shiftable vertically. CONSTITUTION:In a hausing 21 arranged at a suitable position between the outlet of cooling drums 1, 1' and an in-line mill 9 or a coiler, the burr removing apparatus 15, composing of each one pair of burr removing wheel 17a, 17b at right and left sides, which consist of each one pair of disks 16, 16' at upper and lower sides for flattening the upright burr developed on the edge part of cast strip toward thickness direction by pushing from the upper and lower sides and one pair of cast slab holding rolls 18, 18' at upper and lower sides, arranged at inside of the wheels 17a, 17b, is set. And, the damage of roll in the in-line mill 9 is perfectly prevented and the winding of sheet by the coiler is smoothly executed. |
