PURPOSE:To enable various kinds of liquids to be used, and further to facilitate the manufacture by forming the valve disk and valve seal constituting a valve body with straight flat plates made of ceramics. CONSTITUTION:Seal plates 2A and 2B being made of ceramics and each having a liquid passage hole 21 are opposed to each other to constitute a valve seal having parallel surfaces. Between these plates a gate plate 1 being made of ceramics and both surfaces of which are parallel and having an opening 11 which is conformed to the liquid passage holes 21 is slidably provided. Respective seal plates 2A and 2B made of ceramics are flat plates having smooth surfaces and are fixed to the valve box members 4, 5, by which liquid passage pipes 41, 51 are integrally formed, via sealing members 6 such as metallic seal rings, by means of bolts B in a sealed condition.
