PURPOSE:To make it possible to control a barrel to desired temperature condition, by providing many holes suppliable with a heating medium or refrigerant in the barrel wall of an extruder. CONSTITUTION:Many holes 6 in the twisted direction to the axial direction of a barrel 1 without intersecting an inner hole 4 of the barrel 1 are provided in the barrel 1 of an extruder. Screw threads are formed at both ends of the holes 6 to permit the connection thereof with pipes for supplying a heating medium or refrigerant.
