摘要 For the genetic engineering preparation of metabolic products in eukaryotic cells by introducing a foreign gene encoding the required metabolic product with the aid of a retroviral provirus as vector into a eukaryotic cell and expression of the product encoded by the foreign gene, the foreign gene to be expressed is incorporated into a provirus which is integrated into a vector and which no longer contains a functioning gene for the replication and packaging functions gag, pol and/or env, the vector containing the provirus obtained in this way is introduced, together with another vector containing at least one marker function but no genes interfering with the packaging functions, into a eukaryotic cell which contains in the genome the retroviral genes of the replication and packaging functions gag, pol and/or env, it being necessary for the provirus and retroviral genes together to encode a complete retrovirus in the genome, the transfected cell is cloned, and selection is carried out according to marker function and required metabolic product, the retroviruses produced in the growth medium of the selected cells are used to infect a eukaryotic cell, and the required metabolic product is isolated from the infected cell or its culture medium. <IMAGE>
