PURPOSE:To improve both the electric charge injection preventiveness of an alumite layer and the adhesiveness thereof to an electric charge generating layer by providing the alumite layer of a desired thickness on an Al substrate and specifying crystalline Al2O3 and amorphous Al2O3 in the alumite layer to a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer consisting of a resin dispersed liquid of an org. pigment and an electric charge transfer layer are formed on an Al base. The alumite layer having 1-15mum thickness is formed on said base. The molar ratio of the crystalline Al2O3 and amorphous Al2O3 in the layer is confined to 50-1,500. The alumite layer is formed by an electrolytic treatment. The content of the crystalline Al2O3/the content of the amorphous Al2O3 are adjusted by regulating the voltage, time and density of the electrolysis as well as bath compsn. The adhesiveness of the charge generating layer and the Al base and the charge injection preventiveness of the alumite layer are thereby improved. In addition, the paintability of the coating liquid for the charge generating layer is improved as well. |
