摘要 PURPOSE:To bring the title equipment into a mechanism which is more precise and quicker in controlling a mold thickness and capable of applying to a tilting or torque type mold clamping mechanism, by providing a specific detecting, calculating and driving devices on a mold thickness control mechanism of mold clamping equipment of an injection molding machine. CONSTITUTION:Whether a toggle mechanism A is in a locked-up state or not is detected through a head position detecting device D after a mold has been fitted to an injection molding machine. When the toggle mechanism A is not in the locked-up state, a quantity of a movement of the toggle mechanism A up to the locked-up state is obtained by a moving platen position calculation device F. A rear platen is moved to an antimoving platen side by the said quantity of movement with a rear platen driving device C through a lock-up control device G and a toggle link is made into a locked-up state by driving a toggle driving device B. Then abutting of a mold is detected by a detecting device H of the abutting of the mold, the movement of the rear platen is stopped and then control of a mold thickness is performed by moving the moving platen to a rear platen side by a predetermined quantity.
