PURPOSE:To enhance the exposure sensitivity characteristics, wavelength characteristics, and deterioration resisting characteristics by using the crystalline particles of a specified titanium phthalocyanine type compound as an electric charge generating material. CONSTITUTION:The titanium phthalocyanine type compound particles having strong peaks at Bragg angles of (a), (b), or (c) (2theta + or - 0.2 deg.) are used as the charge generating material of the photosensitive body, where (a) = 7.5 deg., 22.4 deg., 24.4 deg., 25.4 deg., 26.2 deg., 27.2 deg., and 28.6 deg., (b) = 7.5 deg., 22.4 deg., 24.4 deg., 25.4 deg., 27.2 deg., and 28.6 deg., and (c) = 7.5 deg., 22.4 deg., 24.4 deg., 25.4 deg., 26.2 deg., and 28.6 deg., and these compounds are represented by the formula shown on the right and used with the combination of >=one kind thereof, in which R1 is halogen, oxygen, or alkoxy; R2 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, or the like; m is 1 or 2; and n is 0 - 4. |
