PURPOSE:To enable gears to be in continuous contact with each other by forming the tooth profile of the tooth faces of both the internal and the external gears, of an image curve obtained through similar conversion of the movement locus of the external gear to the internal gear defined by the shape of a wave generator, at the contraction ratio of half with the limitation point of the contact between both gears being an origin. CONSTITUTION:The device in the caption has an internal gear 2 and a wave generator 4 which ovally bends a ring-shaped external gear 3. The tooth profile 13 of the tooth root face of the internal gear 2 is formed of an image curve obtained by similarly converting the curve part between the points 10 and 12 on the movement locus 11 of a tooth ridge 10, at the contraction ratio of one half with the limitation point of contact 12 being a reference point. The continuous contact between both gears at the meshing point is, accordingly, made possible. |
