PURPOSE:To realize thinning and thicking operations and contour emphasis processing in order to cope with compensation and the fine adjustment of picture quality, both of which are required due to different development, transfer and fixing conditions, without adding special circuits including a memory to the outside by providing an image signal processing part in a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of image signal data form a line in a shift register 1 by a shift clock. Since outputs Q1-Q64 of the shift register are putted out in parallel, an image signal processing part 2 can process them in parallel. The fine circuit of the image signal processing part 2 arranges the 62 sets of circuit obtained by combining AND gates, OR gates and inversion gates in a row and obtains processing outputs Q2'-Q63'. Outputs Q1' and Q64' situated at the both ends are outputted without processing because of the constitution of the circuit, but generally it does not seriously affect the picture quality. When more than two black picture elements continue, this circuit makes a line finer by whitening a first picture element and increases the finess of the image. Output signals from the image signal processing part 2 become LED driving signals LED1-LED64 through a latch circuit 3 and a driver 4 and drive respective LED elements.
