Leaf (6) of a disc filter sector, consisting of a flow-permeable hub with flow-carrying ducts located therein, and of a screen fixed on the hub, which admits the filtrate but, e.g. retains the fibre cake on its surface. One drawback of the existing disc filters is that the fibre cake does not readily detach from the surface of the leaf (6) which results in a reduction of the capacity of the disc filter. This drawback is overcome in the invention by there being arranged, above the screen, on both sides of the leaf and on at least one leaf edge, a strip (7) projecting from the plane of the screen, in order to facilitate scraping the cake off the surface of the leaf (6) in the discharge phase. <IMAGE> |
