In the case of mixers, whose mixing screw is mounted inside the mixing vessel, there is the possibility for material to be mixed to penetrate the screw bearing. As a result, bearing friction is increased which may result in overloading of the drive device or in seizing of the bearing. The novel mixer therefore contains in the bearing (6, 4) of the mixing screw (1) at least one temperature sensor (11 to 14) which indicates the temperature increase resulting from increasing bearing friction and makes it possible to eliminate the cause of increased bearing friction, before the mixer suffers major damage. <IMAGE> |
