<p>A heated suit (2), worn inside a diving suit (3) is heated by high frequency electrical current passing through the wires of a number of independent wiring circuits (4). The wiring circuits (4) are coupled to a high frequency power supply (6) by a releasable inductive coupling in which the hf power supply (6) excites primary coils (7) which then induces a current in coils (8), on a ''wand'' (9), which plugs into the centre of the coils (7), and hence provides current to the wiring circuits (4). The ''wand'' (9) can easily be plugged into and unplugged from the socket arrangement (11) allowing a safe and simple releasable connection between the diver's suit and the power supply.</p> |
