PURPOSE:To execute a modulation of a luminous flux by utilizing a difference of a reflected state of the luminous flux, by realizing optionally a state that the luminous flux is regularly reflected when the liquid-drop has disappeared, while the luminous flux is scattered under the existence of a liquid-drop. CONSTITUTION:A heating resistor 1 connected to thin film conductive bodies 3, 4 contacts with a substrate 5 having a good thermal conductivity through an insulating layer 2b,and a saturated vapor body 7 is enclosed in a glass vessel 8. A light is made incident from a light transmitting window 11, but in case when a curent does not flow to the heating resistor 1, the vapor body forms a dew on its surface, therefore, the incident light is scattered, and when a current flows to the resistor 1, the dewdrop disappears, and the light is regularly reflected and emitted from the light transmitting window 11. Accordingly, a modulation of a luminous flux is executed by utilizing a difference of a reflected state of a luminous flux from a light source 13. |
