In a horizontal continuous-casting installation, a post-heating of the steel melt will be possible in a tundish. For this, a one-piece wall block (2) of refractory ceramic material is matched to the cross-section of the tundish (1) and inserted into this. At least one induction coil (5, 6) is built into the wall block (2). Flow channels (8, 9, 10) for the steel melt are provided in the bottom of the wall block (2). The steel melt is post-heated by the induction coil (5, 6) when it is flowing through the flow channels (8, 9, 10).
