PURPOSE:To prevent a device from breaking down by performing control so that a start signal for image forming operation is not outputted while the device is being carried or stood. CONSTITUTION:When the copying machine M1 is stored at another place after copying operation, a grip 23 is drawn out and the copying machine is suspended and carried at such an attitude that its original platen 3 is nearly vertically, and then placed upright. At this time, a paper discharge detection lever 31 is displaced by a weight 35 and the tip part of the lever 31 shields a photointerrupter 32, so that the displacement is detected. Then the displacement of the lever 31 is transmitted to a control part 36 and when the time of the displacement becomes longer than a time matching with the passage of a sheet material P, a copying operation stop state is entered. Therefore, even if a copying operation button is pressed, the copying operation is not started and the device is prevented from breaking down. |
