PURPOSE:To easily secure the flatness of the flange part of an upper frame as well as to maintain its degree of airtightness by a method wherein the upper frame is formed by welding the member having the cross-section of almost inverted L-shape, and said horizontal part is used as the flange part. CONSTITUTION:On the end part of adjoining two side parts 11a and 11b, the side wall 11 of a tank, on which a continued linear corner part 11c is formed making an obtuse angle with said side parts 11a and 11b, is provided. Then, the member having inverted L-shape cross-section is coupled by welding or the like, a flange part 18 is formed on the upper part, the corner part of the lower end part is provided in such a manner that it corresponds to the corner part of the side wall 11 of a tank making on a straight line, and the upper frame 14 is provided in such a manner that the corner part of the flange part makes an angular shape. In this case, the corner part of the upper frame 14 is connected to a corner plate 17. The lower end part of the upper frame 14 is connected to the upper part of the tank side wall 11 by welding or the like, and a cover 19 is attached to the flange part 18 of the upper frame 14. As the flange part 18 of the upper frame 14 is constituted by, performing a welding work only on the end part of the long frame 15 of the inverted L-shape crosssection, the distortion generating when the welding work is performed can be reduced, and the flatness of the flange part can also be secured.
