摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the follow-up control to move an overflow timing control member for determining the injection quantity of fuel to an aimed position, by giving a small control value when the temperature of fuel is high and hence its viscosity is low and giving a large control value when the temperature of fuel is low and hence its viscosity is high. CONSTITUTION:In operation of an engine, operational conditions of the engine such as the engine speed are detected by various engine sensors and applied to an ECU 1. At first, an aimed position of a member 12 such as a spill ring of a fuel injection pump used for controlling the overflow timing of fuel is determined by an aimed-position calculating means from the outputs of the various engine sensors. Then, the actual position of the member 12 detected by a position sensor 13 is compared with the aimed position by a deviation calculating means, and the value of deviation is detected. From the gain Ke determined by the value of deviation and the proportional gain constant KT determined by the output of an oil temperature sensor 48, a proportional gain K is obtained from the following equation, K = KeXKT. Thereafter, an overflow control signal is obtained in a correcting means by use of the proportional gain K, and the above control member 12 is contorlled by an actuator 18.
