PURPOSE:To greatly enhance operability in fitting a paper to a tractor feeder, by detecting an operation of a line feed switch for a paper-fitting operation, and taken up the paper by driving a paper-feeding motor under control when the line feed switch is depressed, thereby matching sprocket holes of the paper to tractor pins while supporting the paper by hands. CONSTITUTION:With both ends of a paper held by hands, a line feed switch 11 for a paper-fitting operation is depressed by a finger not used for holding the paper. A signal is supplied to a switch operation detecting circuit 14 of a driving-controlling circuit 13 provided in a printer device A, and a detection signal SA is outputted. The signal SA is supplied to a printer-controlling circuit 15, which outputs a command signal SB to a motor-driving circuit 16, which outputs a control signal CS to a paper-feeding motor 12. As a result, the motor is driven to rotate slowly by a predetermined amount corresponding to one pressing on the switch, and pins of a tractor feeder 10 are moved at a low velocity, whereby a paper is fed by a one-line amount, namely, a line feeding is achieved.
