A gas scrubber including a chamber (17) having a gas inlet (17a) and gas outlet, the chamber defining a gas flow path from the inlet to the outlet (17b) means for creating at least one curtain of cleansing fluid (18a) across the gas flow path and for creating an associated zone of spray of cleansing fluid (32) on the downstream side of each curtain. Preferably the means for creating each curtain and associated spray zone include a rotatable disc (18) having perforate regions (30) and means (20) for directing cleansing fluid onto the disc. |
