PURPOSE:To raise the economical advantage of construction work by reducing the amount of improving the ground and also limiting the given rigidity of foundation beam by a method in which the distribution of unequal subsidence by increased load is predicted and an improving specification to cope with unequal subsidence is set up. CONSTITUTION:In constructing a building 1 with direct foundation on soft ground, the distribution of unequal subsidence by increased load is predicted. A high-level specification for great improved strength and improved depth, etc., is set up for the central area where predicted unequal subsidence amount is great, and a low-level specification is also set up for the surrounding area where predicted unequal subsidence amount is small. According to the specifications, the ground is improved in such a way as to obtain an advantageous unequal subsidence distribution for the foundation beam of the building 1. The improving amount of the ground can thus be numerically limited as compared with the case of high-level improving specification, and the desired rigidity of the foundation beam can be limited. Great economical effect can thus be obtained for the construction work.
