PURPOSE:To enhance color reproduction performance by incorporating one of cyan couplers and a compound having at least one of Br and I in the molecular structure in one of silver halide emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the silver halide emulsion layers of the photographic sensitive material contains at least one of the cyan couplers represented by formula I (each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, aryl, or a heterocyclic group, and R3 is H, halogen, alkyl, or alkoxy), and at least one of the brominated and/or iodinated compounds containing at least one of Br and I in an amount of >=40wt%, thus permitting the cyan color image to be formed to be improved in storage stability and to be enhanced in color reproducibility by the shift of the maximum absorption wavelength of the cyan dye toward the longer wavelength side, and further, the obtained photographic sensitive material to be enhanced in color developing performance. |
