PURPOSE:To obtain mechanical strength and a small coefficient of linear expansion by performing orientation so that a liquid crystal organic high polymer at a center shaft part is parallel to the center axis of the center shaft and a liquid crystal organic high polymer at an outer peripheral part is parallel to spiral grooves. CONSTITUTION:The center shaft part 1 and the outer peripheral part 2 having spiral grooves 21 for storing optical fibers are composed integrally of liquid crystal organic high polymers. In this case, the liquid crystal organic high polymer in the shaft part 1 is oriented in parallel to the center axis of the shaft part 1 and the liquid crystal organic high polymer in the outer peripheral part 2, on the other hand, is oriented in parallel to the grooves 21. Consequently, the liquid crystal organic high polymers have mechanical strength and low coefficients of linear expansion, specially, in their orientation directions. |
