A system for connecting a goods delivery system, especially an automatic vending machine, ith a remote monitor includes sensors to detect the operating parameters of the delivery unit and the resulting signals are coded by code units into series digital form. Converters convert this digital information into signals which can be passed as narrow band signals through a line to the monitoring unit. A single monitor may accept signals from a number of vending units such as a bank of ticket issuing machines.
