The invention relates to an egg packaging, consisting of a bottom part and a top part, at least the bottom part (1) being provided with insertion depressions (4, 5), arranged in a pattern, for individual eggs (7), and at least the top part (2) consisting of a transparent plastic material. The insertion depressions (4, 5) have an opening (8) which corresponds to a cross-section through the egg tips.
