DC voltage control circuits consist essentially of a control path (10) and a controller (22). An actuating element (16) of the control path (10) is in this case generally constructed as a voltage divider. This design has the disadvantage that the supply voltage must always be greater than the output voltage. The invention provides a remedy for this and also covers the case in which the supply voltage is equal to or less than the output voltage.
