<p>The floor region of a cooking, baking or frying vessel (10) made of metal, for example a corrosion-resistant special steel (18/10 chromium-nickel steel), contains a separate plate (18; 116) made of a metal having different physical properties from those of the material of which the vessel is made. The separate metal plate (18) is made from a preferably ferromagnetic induction-heatable metal, for example soft iron, carbon steel or chromium steel, so that the vessel can be used not only on the usual gas hearths or electric hearths with resistance-heating plates but also on induction-hearths.</p> |
