PURPOSE:To miniaturize an exciter by accelerating and driving an AC exciter separately installed to a body synchronous machine operated by a conductive belt, transmitting revolving torque over the exciter side from the body side and transmitting power in the direction opposite to the direction of transmission of revolving torque. CONSTITUTION:A body synchronous machine 1 is arranged onto a shaft 4 together with a rectifier 7 for excitation and belt pulleys 31-33. The pulleys 31-33 are formed by a conductive material, and insulated electrically to the shaft 4 and mutually. The pulleys 31-33 are each connected electrically to the AC side of the rectifier 2 for excitation. On the other hand, belt pulleys 61-63 having diameters smaller than said pulleys 31-33 and consisting of the conductive material and an AC exciter 7 are mounted onto a shaft 5 adjacently separated from the shaft 4. Both pulleys 31-33 and 61-63 are connected respectively by conductive belts 81-83. Accordingly, power generated by the AC exciter 7 can be transmitted over the body side and revolving torque over the exciter side from the body side respectively by the conductive belts 81-83.
