PURPOSE:To perform multifarious drilling operations with one unit without changing a position of a workpiece, by controlling and driving each feed of a spindle head being shiftable in a three-dimensional 3-axial direction and rotatable around horizontal and vertical 2 axes. CONSTITUTION:A spindle head saddle 2 is mounted on a bed 1 of a drilling unit so as to be moved in both directions, and an erected column 3 is mounted on this saddle 2 so as to move forward or backward. A lifting slider 4 slidable up and down is attached to the column 3, while a rotor 5 is attached to this lifting slider 4 rotatably around a horizontal axis. A spindle head 6 is attached to this rotor 5 rotatably around a horizontal axis being vertical with a turning axis of the rotor 5 and an axis of a spindle 7. Since the spindle head saddle 2, the lifting slider 4, a feed driver for the column 3 and a turning gear for the rotor 5 and the spindle head 6 are all controlled by a control unit, drilling is carried out to a hole in an optional direction of the workpiece, thus multifrious drilling operations can be done with one unit.
