PURPOSE:To obtain a video signal in which a spike noise is remarkably reduced by cancelling the spike noise by adjacent switching elements. CONSTITUTION:Switching pulses phi01, phi02, phi03... in phase with pulses phi2, phi3... are supplied to switching elements 21, 22, 23... in succession to 1st, 2nd and 3rd switching pulses phi1, phi2, phi3... and a video signal is obtained from a difference signal between the signal obtained from the pulses phi2, phi3... and the signal obtained from the pulses phi01, phi02, phi03.... In this case, in photoelectric converting elements 11, 12, 13..., the signal electric charge stored during one period by the pulses phi1, phi2, phi3... is read and the obtained signal is the signal invaded with a spike noise by the switching element 2 to a signal in response to the signal. Then the signal read by the pulses phi01, phi02, phi03... is a signal of almost spike noise only of the switching element 2.
