In a windscreen wiper for motor vehicles provided with a piston (16) guided movably in a housing (11), in order to prevent piston rotation, a bracket (40) with a guide fork (70) is integrally fixed to the piston, said fork being introduced longitudinally in a guide element (50) integral with the housing. According to the invention, a rod with a circular cross-section is used as a guide element (50), said rod being arranged at an angle ( alpha ) to the piston axis, so that the guide surfaces (F1, F2) mutually adjacent on the guide rod (50) and the guide fork (70), during the displacement movement of the piston (16), are locally moved transversally in relation to the latter. As a result, the effective guide surface is increased and wear thereby reduced. |
