<p>PURPOSE:To provide a room temperature-curable primer composition for silicon, of high adhesion durability and storage stability, comprising a specific proportion of each specific silicone-modified epoxy resin and epoxy group-contg. organosilicon compound and an organotitanic ester. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 100pts.wt. of a silicone-modified epoxy resin prepared by condensation between (i) an alkoxy group-contg. silicon compound of formula R<1>aSiXb(4-a-b)/2(R<1> is monovalent hydrocarbon; X is alkoxy; 0<=a<=2; 1<=b<=4; 1<=a+b<=) and (ii) an epoxy resin containing in one molecule both epoxy and hydroxyl groups, (B) 1-200pts.wt. of an epoxy group-contg. organosilicon compound selected from epoxy group- contg. silanes of formula (R<2> is divalent hydrocarbon; R<3> and R<4> are each monovalent hydrocarbon; Z is glycidoxy or epoxy eyclohexyl; C is 0 or 1) and their partial hydrolyzates, and (C) 0.1-100pts.wt. of an organotitanic ester.</p> |
