PURPOSE:To attain the use of various disk players by making movable a shutter member to the left/right side around a window. CONSTITUTION:A disk storage 2 storing an optical disk D is formed to a cartridge main body 1 and the storage 2 is provided with an insertion window 3 to insert an optical pickup P reading a signal on a turntable T and the optical disk D. Moreover, a guide slot 5 is formed to the main body 1, a projection 6 is provided to the center of the slot 5 and slidable slide members 7a, 7b are accommodated to both sides of a projection 6 along with the slot 5. Moreover, the shutter member 11 of nearly channel shape covering the insertion window 3 of the cartridge main body 1 is provided on the slide members 7a, 7b and cut-and-rises 12a, 12b engaging with operating projections 8a, 8b of the slide members 7a, 7b are provided to the member 11. Since the shutter member 11 reciprocable at both sides the insertion window 3 formed to the cartridge 1, the disk cartridge is applicable in common use with various disk players and with different pickup shape.
