PURPOSE:To supply oil to a high pressure chamber certainly by forming an oil passage which connects the high pressure chamber to an oil relay chamber through a check valve on the closed end wall of a plunger. CONSTITUTION:A high pressure chamber 7 is provided between a plunger 4 and an adjuster body 2. An oil relay chamber 9 is formed on the lower inner face of the adjuster body 2. An oil passage 10 which connects the high pressure chamber 7 to the oil relay chamber 9 through a check valve 12 is formed on the closed end wall 4' of the plunger 4. Thereby, oil is supplied from the lower portion of a reservoir chamber 6 so that it is possible to supply oil certainly without sucking air.
