PURPOSE:To improve efficiency and to provide an increased life, by a method wherein, in a title burner for a tundish preheating device, a mixing chamber is situated to the tips of a fuel passage and an air for combustion passage, and a throat part in a given shape is formed to the tip. CONSTITUTION:A mixing chamber 3 is situated to the tips of a fuel gas nozzle 14 and an air for combustion passage 8, and a throttle part 2 is formed by throttling the tip of the mixing chamber 3. In this case, a ratio l/D of the length lof the throat part 2 to an inner diameter D is set to 0.05-1.0. This constitution improves efficiency by using a title burner in a tundish preheating device, and enables prevention of the occurrence of damage due to overheat. |
