PURPOSE:To obtain a novel heat-transfer medium composition suitable for the use in an air-conditioning system utilizing the circulation of a thermal medium, by compounding sodium polyacrylate, a glycol compound, a water-soluble polymeric compound, an anticorrosive agent and water at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is composed mainly of (A) 0.05-5wt% (preferably 0.1-3wt%) sodium polyacrylate having a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000-100,000, (B) 10-60wt% (preferably 20-50wt%) glycol compound preferably ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, (C) 0.001-0.2wt% (preferably 0.05-0.1wt%) water-soluble polymer having a weight-average molecular weight of >=100,000 (preferably >=2,000,000) (preferably PVA, CMC, etc.), (D) 0.01-10wt% (preferably 0.1-5wt%) anticorrosive agent composed of preferably sodium nitrite, benzotriazole, etc., and (E) the remaining part of water. |
