PURPOSE:To efficiently generate a graphic form such as a logic circuit diagram without instructing the rotation of symbols by deciding the connection direction of a connection between the symbols and rotating the symbols connected to both ends of the connection. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that a signal is sent by the connection from a symbol S1 to a symbol S2, a decision circuit 4 decides the connection direction from the sending direction of the signal and supplies the decision result to a rotating means 5. The rotating means 5 rotates the symbol S2 clockwise by 180 deg. so as to arrange the symbols S1 and S2 so that the external input/output terminal of the symbol S1 is on the right-hand side and the external input/output terminal of the symbol S2 is on the left-hand side. Consequently, the flow of the signal from the symbol S1 to the symbol S2 is displayed on a CRT1.
