PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to replace input and output terminals in case signals from plural digital source equipments are recorded, respectively, and to simplify the operation by executing a switching control by inserting a changeover switch between plural pieces of digital input and output terminals, and sound-recording and reproducing circuits. CONSTITUTION:A dubbing recorder 3 is provided with digital input terminals I1, I2, digital output terminals O1, O2, a control part C, a sound-recording circuit REC, a reproducing circuit PB, and a switch SW1. The switch SW1 is operated by a control provided on a surface panel of the recorder 3, or switched in accordance with whether a signal from a CD player 1 or a source use recorder 2 exists or not. In the control part C, changeover switches SW2, SW3 which are interlocked in accordance with an operation mode by a controlling circuit CL are provided, and switched to the side of contacts TM1, TM2, and the side of contacts SM1-SM4, at the time of a reproducing mode, and the time of sound-recording and stop modes, respectively.
