PURPOSE:To prevent a defective RAM card from being used and to easily find the misloading of a RAM card by providing a sensor which detects the cover of the RAM card being closed correctly so as to detect the timing of the loading of the RAM card. CONSTITUTION:A person is charge needs to open the cover of the IC RAM card when replacing the IC RAM card. The cover sensor 10 detects the cover of this IC RAM card being opened and a CPU enters a wait state. The person is charge closes the cover of the IC RAM card after replacing the IC RAM card and the cover sensor 10 detects that and sends information to the CPU. Consequently, an IC RAM card interface and the IC RAM card are diagnosed automatically according to a procedure stored in a program memory and it is checked whether or not all bits of the data bus and address bus of the IC RAM card function normally; if the IC RAM card is misloaded, that is found immediately.
