PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device, having a transferring means for articles to be treated, many discharge electrodes, respectively activating part of the surface to be treated and provided in the transfer direction and capable of completing activation by passing the articles to be treated through all the electrodes and efficiently treating the articles without stopping the transfer. CONSTITUTION:A corona discharge treating device, having a transferring means 1 for transferring articles to be treated 2, e.g. automotive bumper, etc., and base electrodes 3 consisting of a plastic mold 4 and electrically conductive metal layer 5 provided in contact with the articles 2 to be treated, many discharge electrodes 6 for applying a high voltage across the base electrodes 3 provided in the transfer direction of the articles 2 to be treated and capable of activating the surface to be treated of the articles 2 to be treated utilizing a corona discharge phenomenon generated by applying the high voltage across the electrodes. In the process, each discharge electrode 6 is designed to activate only part of the surface to be treated of the articles 2 to be treated. Activation of the whole surface to be treated is completed by passing the articles to be treated through all the discharge electrodes 6.
