PURPOSE:To prevent mischievous telephone call or the like even without a pass word by using a telephone number stored in an automatic dial memory as the pass word for selecting a caller. CONSTITUTION:With a selector switch 4 in the operating position, no call tone is outputted from a speaker 7 even with an incoming call. With an incoming call in this state, a call signal is applied to a control circuit 19 via the selector switch 4. Thus, the control circuit 19 operates a book control circuit 10 to close a telephone line and to urge a caller to send its own telephone number via a message sending circuit 23. In sending its own telephone number from the caller in response thereto, the control circuit 19 collates it with an automatic dial telephone number stored in a memory circuit 26, and a voice synthesis circuit 29 is activated in case of the coincidence only and the called party is called under the name corresponding to the telephone number.
