PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of skew and paper feeding failure at the time of using an envelope as the paper, by installing a presser roller in length covering an area where a diameter is smaller that of a paper feeding roller and the base of the envelope is situated, concentrically with the paper feeding roller. CONSTITUTION:In this device, a press roller 32, whose diameter is smaller than that of a paper feeding roller 1, and having such length as covering an area where the base 21 of an envelope 20 is situated, is attached to a counter reference edge side, namely, the base side of the envelope when the envelope is fed sideways, concentrically with the paper feeding roller 1, whereby this feeder device is designed so as to make this presser roller 32 rotated together with the paper feeding roller 1 at the time of paper feeding. It will do that the presser roller 32 is merely locked to a shaft 30 of the paper feeding roller 1. If the length of the presser roller 32 is set so as to make the envelope of length 4, length 3 and angles 4 and 2 in dimensional standards automatically feedable, it comes to such length as covering a range where the base is situated when these envelopes are mounted on a paper mount 7 sideways.
