PURPOSE:To form the wear resistant metal strip in which wear resistant particles are uniformly dispersed by coating an org. group binder on a rotary cooling roll face and after sticking the wear resistant particle with its projection thereonto, projecting a molten metal thereon further. CONSTITUTION:The water cooling roll 1 of a steel made, etc., is rotated at specific revolutions. After smoothing the surface of the roll 1 by a grinding roll 2 the dissipative org. group binder 4 of a phenolic resin, etc., is projected from a pressure piston 5 to coat the surface of the water cooling roll 1. There after, the wear resistant particle 8 of SiO2, etc., are projected from an injection nozzle 6 by air 14 pressure and stuck to said binder 4 on the roll 1 surface. The molten metal 11 of the ground metal melted by a heating device 9 is then projected on the wear resistant particle 8 located on said roll face and binder 4 from an injection nozzle 10 by the inert gas 12 of Ar, etc. The org. group binder 4 is thus dissipated, the molten metal 11 is cooled and solidified and the wear resistant metal strip 13 in which the wear resistant particle 8 is uni formly dispersed is obtd. |
