PURPOSE:To immediately detect a call from a mobile station sent at an optional time by allowing a receiver to retrieve an air communication channel and allowing a transmitter-receiver to detect a control signal. CONSTITUTION:The control section 10 of a base station 1, after application of power supply, switches a transmitter-receiver 102 to the control channel reception and a receiver 104 to a communication channel respectively. In this case, the reception operation of the transmitter-receiver 102 and the recetion operation of the receiver 104 are applied in parallel. Thus, even on the way of the retrieval of air communication channel, while repeating the reception of each of required number of communication channels, the call connection processing is applied with a call from a mobile station.
