摘要 PURPOSE:To surely prevent a tack-in phenomenon in the time of deceleration while to sufficiently ensure the head turning characteristic when necessary, by inhibiting a control of steering ratio in the reverse phase direction under a predetermined condition further invalidating this inhibiting action when the steering ratio is in a control region of the preset steering ratio or more. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with an output of a car speed sensor 101, a number of reference operating steps of a stepping motor 50 in proportion to a car speed is calculated by a number or reference steps arithmetic part 102, and the reference steering ratio characteristic is obtained by actuating said motor 50. Here a deceleration condition decision part 118, which inputs an output signal of an accelerator control amount sensor 117 or the like, is provided in a control unit 100. And when a deceleration condition is decided in said deceleration condition decision part 118, a control inhibition signal, which inhibits a control of steering ratio in the reverse phase direction, is output. While when the steering ratio is decided to be in a control region of the preset steering ratio or more (region or more that the steering ratio changes from the position to be reverse phase), the inhibiting control is released for avoiding a hazard.
