PURPOSE:To obtain a suede decorative material, having scratch as well as fouling resistance and rich in high-class feeling, by providing fine dotted high- density aggregates of a resin layer containing foams of a roughened microencapsulated foaming agent on the whole surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A foaming agent, e.g. low-boiling aliphatic hydrocarbon, etc., e.g., butane, etc., is microencapsulated with a resin, e.g. vinylidene chloride, etc., on the whole surface of a substrate 1, e.g. paper, plastic, etc. In the process, a resin liquid containing foams of roughened microcapsule type foaming agent obtained by aggregating fine resin particles of the same resin as that of the capsules is printed on the whole outer wall surfaces of the capsules by a screen method, etc., to form fine dotted high-density aggregates in the form of a pattern on the whole surface. The resultant aggregates are then heated, gelatinized and simultaneously expanded to afford the aimed suede decorative material rich in high-class feeling without wasteful gloss. |
