PURPOSE:To maintain the mirror surface at a rain wiped state during a rainfall by arranging rollers on both sides of a mirror member, winding a transparent endless belt on both rollers, and bringing the wiper member into contact with the endless belt. CONSTITUTION:Rollers 3 rotatable around the vertical axes are arranged on the right and left of the mirror member 2 of a rear view mirror, and a tension roller 4 is arranged at the rear of the mirror member 2. An endless belt 5 made of a transparent plastic film or the like and passing the front of the mirror member 2 in a contacted state is wound on the rollers 3, 3, 4. An electric motor 6 is connected to one roller 3, and the endless belt 5 is rotated by the drive of this electric motor 6. In addition, a wiper member 7 having the length over the whole width of the endless belt 5 is arranged near the roller 3 in contact with the surface of the endless belt 5. These members are rotatably fitted to a mirror supporter 8 via a unit supporter 1. |
