PURPOSE:To improve the product quality and yield by turnably holding a mandrel roll against a lower platen and making the mandrel roll vertically mountable and demountable against an upper platen. CONSTITUTION:A lower bearing part 21 turnably holding the shaft lower end through a bearing is slidably mounted in the up-and-down direction against a lower platen 9. The platen 9 and the roll 7 are integrated and separated by use of one lock pin. A mandrel vertically moving device 14 and an engaging and disengaging device 23 are composed of cylinders 32, 37 and engaging pieces, etc. After rolling a rolled stock 15, the lower bearing part 21 and the roll 7 are moved up and down by the device 14. Thus, straight insertion of the roll 7 into an upper bearing part 22 is performable, so that a slant of the roll 7 during working is eliminated and the working accuracy is improved. Therefore, the product quality and yield are improved. |
