PURPOSE:To independently confirm an address of a track by two light spots, by providing not only a first address detecting means by a first light spot but also a second address detecting means by a second light spot. CONSTITUTION:An address a1 of a track on which the first light spot has got is read by the first address detector 32, and an address a2 on which the second light spot has got is read by the second address detector 35 and sent to a CPU 33. The CPU 33 already motions the track address a1, a2, and if a1 and a2 are the same, the first and the second light spots are considered to exist on the same track, and an optical disk device maintains its regular operation. In case a1 and a2 are different, a light emission of a semiconductor 13 is stopped and an abnormality is informed to a system. In such a way, since the track address is read independently, whether two light spots are getting on the same track or not is confirmed at all times, and two optical spots can be allowed to get on the same track. |
